Case Management Supervisor
As a registered nurse and case manager, Katie Meiers has cared for women and children since 2005. Katie educates and promotes self-management to empower women and families to take an active role in their health. Katie supports building strong and positive relationships between patients and their providers, as she believes in understanding each other is the best way to meet with honesty and trust. In her current role at Network Health as Supervisor, Case Management she supports the strong team of case managers to aid members across the lifespan.
Katie earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in Sociology with an emphasis on Women’s Studies, Rural Sociology and African-American Studies. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science – Nursing at Oregon Health & Science University where her interests in community health focusing on the health of the family and the labor and birth process were solidified. Upon graduation from the nursing program, she was selected to receive the Gloria Krueger Memorial Award, awarded to the student nurse who demonstrated creativity, interest and passion in Community Health Nursing.
Katie’s interests lie in connections; connections to family, friends, communities, cultures, food, nature and music. She credits connections with helping us understand the world around us and becoming committed to our global well-being.
