Dr. Buran is responsible for oversight of the utilization management, care management, quality management and credentialing departments at Network Health. His team consists of over 100 dedicated professionals who aim to improve the health and well-being of members every day. Prior to joining Network Health, Dr. Buran served as vice president and senior medical director of Health Plan Alliance in Detroit, MI. Over the course of his career, Dr. Buran has held multiple positions including vice president of medical affairs at Morton Plant Hospital and within Henry Ford Medical Group as research director of the division of hospital medicine, medical director of the hospitalist inpatient unit at Henry Ford Hospital, medical director for utilization management at Henry Ford Hospital and associate medical director of managed care services. Dr. Buran attended Kalamazoo College and University of Michigan Medical School.
